Keeping the Estate Running Smoothly
Morven Estate is committed to providing a fast, stable, and enjoyable experience for every resident.
Since all residents share the same region resources, responsible script usage helps maintain excellent performance for the entire community.
These guidelines are intended to prevent unnecessary lag while still allowing residents to enjoy their parcels.
Script Usage
Scripts are an important part of Second Life, but excessive script usage can negatively impact region performance.
Residents are encouraged to:
Use only the scripts they actively need.
Remove outdated or unused scripted objects.
Choose well-optimized products whenever possible.
Regularly review scripted objects on their parcel.
Keeping script usage reasonable benefits both your parcel and the surrounding community.
Particle Effects & Lighting
Particles and advanced lighting can greatly enhance a parcel when used responsibly.
Please avoid:
Continuous large-scale particle effects.
Excessive flashing lights.
Visual effects that negatively affect neighboring parcels.
Decorative effects that create unnecessary region load.
Moderate and tasteful use is always encouraged.
Breedables & Automated Systems
Breedables and automated systems are welcome when managed responsibly.
Residents should ensure that:
Breedable populations remain under control.
Automated systems are actively maintained.
Unnecessary scripted animals or devices are removed when no longer needed.
Large numbers of constantly active scripted objects may affect overall region performance.
Temporary Objects
Temporary objects should not be left unattended for extended periods.
Please remove temporary construction items, testing objects, and unused rez systems once they are no longer needed.
Keeping parcels organized helps maintain both performance and appearance.
Objects Affecting Region Performance
If an object is found to be causing excessive lag, instability, or disruption, Morven Estate may contact the resident to discuss the issue.
When necessary, residents may be asked to optimize, replace, or remove the object to protect the performance of the region.
Our goal is always to resolve issues through communication before administrative action becomes necessary.
Region Restarts & Maintenance
To ensure long-term stability, Morven Estate may occasionally perform scheduled maintenance or region restarts.
Whenever possible, advance notice will be provided through our official communication channels.
These maintenance activities help keep the estate reliable and enjoyable for all residents.
Working Together
Excellent region performance is a shared responsibility.
By using optimized content, managing scripted objects responsibly, and keeping parcels organized, every resident contributes to a smoother and more enjoyable experience for the entire Morven Estate community.
